The Vaulx-en-Velin Planetarium is the French Astronomy Association’s first school.
Partnering with the Ampere Astronomy Club of Lyon and Rhône-Alpes Planet Sciences, it is perfectly adapted to the youngest children. With a telescope and a map of the sky, they learn to recognize planets and constellations. After the two-day course, they receive a nationally certified “Petite Ourse” diploma which attests to their astronomical know-how and knowledge.
